St Patrick’s Day is less than a week away taking place on Tuesday March 17th and Manchester loves an Irish bar so we thought we’d highlight some of the best in the city centre to quench that Guinness thirst this Paddy’s day.
Mulligans
Mulligans has now become a staple in the city centre, long lauded as one of the best Guinnesses in Manchester. It’s sure to be one of the busiest spots on Deansgate come Paddy’s day so be sure to get down early to enjoy the live music and festivities.
Kiely’s

Kiely’s can be found directly underneath the Great Northern Tower development on Watson Street offering a contemporary bar with that traditional Irish pub vibe. In the lead up to the 17th Kiely’s are hosting a pre Paddy’s day parade on Sunday 15th with live music, live traditional Irish dances and live sports all day before their big day!
O’Shea’s

Opened since 1994 O’Shea’s has been established as one of the city's most iconic Irish bars for decades now. For the 17th they are hosting a big St Patrick’s Day night party with tickets on sale now and selling fast!
O’Connell’s

Just off Oxford Road in a renovated railway arch is the quaint and cosy O’Connell’s. Offering one of the most authentic Irish pub vibes in Manchester this St Patrick’s Day it offers not just Guinness but other traditional Irish stout classics Murphy’s and Beamish on tap too alongside a variety of Irish Whiskey.
Salmon Of Knowledge

Whether it’s their bar in the Northern or their newest opening in Media City you’re bound to find a vibrant atmosphere to match the many Guinnesses. Their Stevenson Square bar is hosting a 5 day festival in the lead up to St Patrick’s Day that begins on March 12th offering various live music artists with free entry!
Dirty O’Sullivans

Found just off Albert Square is one of Manchester’s newest Irish bars opening mere months ago back in November 2025. They are collaborating with Jamiesons for their Paddy’s Day celebration opening from 11am offering live music, giveaways, drinks offers and all with free entry!
